Raqs el Hob, meaning "Dance of Love" in Arabic, is a distinguished dance company based in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Comprised of accomplished individuals from diverse global backgrounds, including mothers, doctors, scientists, and teachers, the company unites through friendship, mutual support, and a shared passion for performance. Raqs el Hob specializes in presenting the captivating dances of the Middle East and beyond, and has showcased its artistry on both international and domestic stages. Notable performances include appearances in Athens, Greece, and Vadodara, India, as well as in New York City, Fiesta Asia in Washington D.C., the D.C. Turkish Festival, the H Street Festival in D.C., and at the prestigious Kennedy Center. The company has also performed at The Food Around the World Festival in Alexandria as well on stage at The US Asian Festival in Northern Virginia.
